What is ?MARS is a music recommending system, that suggests the names of artists and albums that you might enjoy, based on what music you enjoyed in the past and what you like currently. How does MARS work? MARS will ask you to enter an artist and album that you used to like, and an artist an album that is a current favorite. This will provide the system with the information about your "musical direction". Based on the responses of other users of the system, MARS will recommend artists and albums that you might enjoy now and in the future. How accurate is MARS? Most people find MARS quite accurate, sometimes amazingly so. For other people it doesn't work as well, especially if the two input items were not very well known. The approach that MARS uses is the very best way to do music recommendations, that's why we did it this way. The more people use MARS, the more accurate its recommendations are. Therefore, if at first you try it and find that the results are not what you were hoping for, please come back later and give it another try. Our suggestion is: just use the recommendations as a guideline for artists and CDs that you might want to sample.
